Christmas spirals
Here's my experiment with the spiral pattern in Christmas colors. It was a great break from my scrap lapghans.

I can't believe I did this!
I can't believe I did this
I can't believe I actually bought more yarn, but, yep, I did. It came by FedEx today. Now I remember getting a free pattern for a girl's lightweight, short sleeve sweater and I bought purple yarn for Allison, and turquoise for Abby.

UFO uncovered
This is the contents of a plastic bin I've had in my closet, for who knows how long? There is one finished stocking and three nearly finished stockings. They seem to need just the heel and foot. The main part is done. This is something I can work on when I get bored with my scrap lapghans, whenever. There is a lot of yarn with it. Hunter green and dark red.
New spiral pattern
Here's what I'm working on today. This is the coaster version. I think I'll continue making the Christmas colored ones.
Bored
I'm bored with this for a while, so I tried a new pattern. I've decided that I need to go to 40" on this, so 18" more. Ugh.

Tabled project
This is the project I was working on when I got diverted to the charity work. I am on the last strip.
I am working it in Simply Soft off-white. The pattern is from "Vanna's Afghans All Through the House." The name of the pattern is Aran Fisherman. It is a pretty complicated design. To keep it straight, I made a chart of each row and which row of the pattern to follow on each row. Then I checked them off as I went, making 263 rows in each strip. It was not until the last strip that I didn't have to constantly refer to the pattern. I will probably have to refer to the pattern when I resume work on it.
I like the pattern because it is definitely not boring. I don't think I will donate this but I may give some of my older afghans away to Goodwill or Amvets, to make room for it.
Still Unfinished
This is one of the projects I rescued from my closet while attempting to organize my scrap yarn and projects. It is close to being done.
The yarn is Bernat Mosaic Day dream. I still have a lot of this. I love working with the striping yarn. I do not like the "feel" of the yarn. It is NOT baby soft. I also have the yarn in primary colors. Maybe I should just try to sell the unused yarn on eBay.
