This is the first item I have finished for the 2014 Knit and Crochet ministry. I didn't quite get it finished for the ingathering/distribution of the 2013 items last weekend. It was my trial of a large "solid" granny square, which I believe would be warmer than the traditional "holey" granny. It is 40" square, the size I am making my "lapghans." I'm thinking of using it for some baby size (30" square) throws, since I have learned that holey patterns are not desirable for babies, who can get their fingers caught in the holes.
